Capilano Golf & Country Club, a private facility located in West Vancouver, 15 minutes from the downtown core, is seeking a Junior Accountant to join our Administration Team. This position reports to the Director of Finance.
Come to work in a place that has scenic views of the Burrard inlet, North Shore Mountains and The Vancouver Skyline. This beautiful piece of property is rich in history and character and is a world class private facility annually ranked among the top 10 in Canada.

Mostly evening shifts 2 pm – 10:30 pm. Own transportation essential as bus service is limited.

Qualifications and Skills Requirements:
  • The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years supervisory and 5 years culinary experience in quality establishments – both in upscale dining and production. 
  • High standards, attention to detail, high productivity and a commitment to excellence is essential to succeed in this position.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Taking and relaying food and beverage orders.
  • Accurately entering orders in the POS system.
  • Communicating with kitchen.
  • Serving food and beverage to members and guests.
  • Checking on guest satisfaction.
  • Handling complaints and concerns of members and guests.
  • Providing food and beverage product knowledge.
  • Using proper serving techniques.
  • Practising responsible alcohol service.
  • Monitoring patrons for intoxication and arranging taxi service when appropriate.

Qualifications and Skills Requirements
  • Service orientation - comfortable helping customers with high expectations.
  • Good communication skills - confident speaking with members, guests and colleagues.
  • Problem solver - ability to understand and resolve issues.
  • Ability to provide great customer service in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible schedule, with the ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to take direction and work unsupervised.
  • Serving-it-right certificate.
  • Age 19+ for serving alcohol.

Transportation to our location is difficult. Employees need ample time if relying on public transit, or their own vehicles.

Compensation and Benefits
  • Hourly wage rate: $22.00-$24.00 per year depending on experience.
