Hi! My name is Sussanah and I'm the Food & Beverage Services and Event Manager here at Capilano Golf & Country Club. I'm from New Zealand and love long summer days, wine and rugby. My career here started when I got a job in the clubs restaurant as a server part-time while going to school. I worked my way to become a senior manager in the Food and Beverage department and get to work along side a great team. I value the work I get to do here and the memories that we get to create for our members and guests.

My Motto: "You can never be overeducated or overdressed"

Hi! My name is Alex and I am the Food & Beverage Manager here at Capilano Golf & Country Club. I'm of Portuguese and Scottish decent, so family is very important to me. I love soccer, running (1/2 & full marathons) along with wine and good food. My career here started by finding an ad in the local newspaper, I was hired as a busser at Capilano and have since worked my way up the organizational chart over my 12 year tenure. I value my career and those I get to work with day in and day out, this truly is a special place to be.

My motto: “you can achieve what you never thought possible”
“Don’t Let others tell you what you can’t do. Don’t let the limitations of others limit your vision. If you can remove your self-doubt and believe in yourself, you can achieve what you never thought possible”

Hi! My name is Stu and I'm the Course Superintendent at Capilano Golf and Country Club. I began as Second Assistant Superintendent in November 2013, currently beginning my 8th year at the Club. Previous experiences included work in the USA at Muirfield Village Golf Club and the Bay Hill Club, and my career and education began in Ireland. Time away from the golf course includes spending time with my wife and two young children, following sports and playing golf when time allows!

No single motto or quote, overall, I focus on being present and positive.

Hi! My name is Mark and I am the Head Professional at Capilano Golf and Country Club. I moved from the UK in  2007 and became an Associate Golf Professional. In 2011 I was fortunate to be able to assume the role of Head Golf Professional at Capilano. I enjoy my role very much as it provides a varied day-to-day work environment as I oversee the retail operation, tournament schedule, Club and power cart storage, driving range and outside service department. I love to play golf at Capilano as often as possible and ski at Grouse mountain with my family.  Along with the outdoor pursuits I also very much enjoy cooking for my family and friends and testing out new recipes!

My motto: Be honest, fair, and treat other as you wish to be treated yourself.

Capilano is a world-class private member's golf club. The calibre of its members and their guests is reflected in their generosity and genuine appreciation for the job our staff does. Over the years, they come to know the staff, and the staff come to know them, in an atmosphere of mutual respect. Golf clubs are service businesses, staffed with people who understand the importance of making others feel comfortable. They get genuine satisfaction from helping members and their guests enjoy their club experience, and from helping their fellow employees succeed in their work.

Capilano's staff parties and celebrations are legendary - everything from chartered boat trips to fully catered buffet dinners with dancing and events afterwards. Join the fun!

“Capilano has some of the most scenic and iconic mountain and city views in the world. Along with a positive team culture second to none and a welcoming and appreciative membership, the views make Capilano a spectacular “office” in which to work.”
- Stu Sheridan, Superintendent

"I love working at Capilano because of the friendships and it is a beautiful place."
Caitlin Jardine, Grill Restaurant Server

The members are wonderful.  I worked attending the ladies for a couple of years and they always had nice words for me, sent me thank you cards or gave me little gifts.  One day I organized the locker of one of the ladies and the day after I found a tiny box outside my office.  It warmed my heart!"
Gilda Fernandez-Concha, Accounting Assistant

"Why Capilano?
Father and son playing golf - just one of the many fun benefits of being an employee"

Tom Ballingall, Irrigation Technician
